Professor Angelides defended his degree in civil engineering at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki in 1970.

He received his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at M.I.T., U.S., in 1975. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering from M.I.T., U.S., in 1978.

His research interests include risk analysis and distribution in concession decision-making systems, GIS systems for material tracking, knowledge management, and intelligent structures.
